How can we help?
Straight answers about running your store on Nxcart — setting up, selling, shipping, GST, and billing. If it isn't here, write to us and a real person will reply.
Getting started
Go to Create a store, pick a store name, and you're in the admin in a couple of minutes. Every new store starts on a 7-day free trial with no credit card, and the trial runs at Growth-level limits so you can try the platform properly rather than a stripped-down version of it.
Four things, in this order: add at least one product, connect Razorpay so you can take money (Settings → Payments), set your shipping rates (Settings → Shipping), and set your store policies (Settings → Policies). GST and a custom domain are optional at launch and can be added any time.
No. You pick a theme and shape it in the visual customizer — sections, colours, fonts, images — without touching code. If you do want to go deeper, the theme code is editable, but nothing about launching requires it.
Yes. Settings → Storefront access lets you put a password in front of the storefront, so only people with the password can see it while you build. Remove the password when you're ready to open.
Yes — Vira, the assistant built into your admin, answers how-to questions and can pull up your own numbers (today's revenue, low-stock items, unfulfilled orders). Vira runs locally on our servers and never sends your store data to an outside AI service.
Products & catalog
Products → Add product. Title, images, price, and stock get you a sellable listing; SKU, HSN code, weight and SEO fields are there when you want them. Save it as a draft while you're still working, publish when it's ready.
Yes — add options (size, colour, and so on) on the product and each combination becomes a variant with its own price, SKU and stock. Products, variants and customers are unlimited on every plan.
Yes. Products → Import takes a CSV. Download the template from the import screen, fill it in, upload, and review what will be created before it commits.
Yes — there's a Generate with AI button on the product form for the description and the SEO title/meta. It drafts; you edit and approve. Nothing is published without you.
A collection is a group of products shoppers can browse (“Necklaces”, “Under ₹999”). A manual collection is a list you curate by hand. An automated collection is a set of rules — tag, price, vendor, stock — and products join or leave it on their own as they match.
Stock lives on the product/variant and updates automatically as orders come in. You can also run multiple locations, transfer stock between them, and raise purchase orders against a supplier when you restock.
Orders & shipping
Every order lands in Orders in your admin, with the customer, the items, the payment status and the address. From there you fulfil it, print a packing slip, buy a label, refund it, or cancel it.
You can connect Delhivery and Shipway from Settings → Shipping using your own courier account, then generate labels and track parcels straight from the order. Your courier rates and contract stay yours — we don't sit in the middle of that money.
Settings → Shipping. Set rates by zone (so Delhi can differ from the North-East), add named methods like Standard and Express, and use shipping profiles when different products need different rates. Free shipping is set up as a discount.
Yes. Turn COD on in Settings → Payments. COD orders come through like any other order and you mark the cash as collected when it is.
Yes — create a draft order in the admin, add the items and the customer, and send them a payment link. When they pay, it becomes a normal order.
Yes. Connect your Instagram account as a sales channel, then read and reply to DMs from your admin inbox and drop a product or a ready-made checkout link straight into the conversation — so a DM turns into a paid order without leaving the chat.
Refund a whole order or part of one from the order page; the money goes back through Razorpay. Cancelling an order restocks the items. Both are recorded on the order's timeline so you can always see what happened and when.
Yes. Checkouts that were started but never paid for are listed in your admin, and you can send that customer a recovery email from the list with one click. It's on every plan.
Payments & GST
Connect your own Razorpay account in Settings → Payments. Shoppers pay by UPI, card, netbanking or wallet, and Razorpay settles the money into your bank account on their schedule. The money never passes through us.
No. Zero platform transaction fees on every plan. Razorpay charges its own gateway fee, and that goes to Razorpay — not to us. You pay us a flat monthly subscription and nothing else.
No. GST is optional. Sell without a GSTIN and your customers get a plain invoice. Add your GSTIN whenever you register, and invoicing switches over — nothing has to be rebuilt.
Settings → GST walks you through it: your GSTIN, your business type, and your place of supply. After that the platform works out CGST/SGST for sales inside your state and IGST for sales outside it, on every order.
Yes — once you're registered, orders get a GST tax invoice with your GSTIN, the tax split, and HSN/SAC codes carried from the product. Set the HSN on the product and it flows to the invoice.
Yes — our prices are exclusive of GST, which is added at 18%. We issue a GST tax invoice for your subscription, so if you're registered you can claim the input credit.
Your storefront & themes
Open the customizer from Themes. It's a live editor: add and reorder sections, swap images, change colours and fonts, and see the result as you go. Save when it looks right.
Yes, if you want to. The theme's code is editable from the admin. If a theme edit breaks, the error shows on the page, so keep an eye on the storefront after a code change — the theme is yours to look after.
Yes — create pages, write blog posts, and build your navigation menus from the admin. They all appear on your storefront.
Yes. Every store gets a free
.nxcart.io subdomain immediately, and connecting your own domain (yourbrand.com) is included on every paid plan — add it under Domains and follow the DNS steps.Every product, collection and page has editable SEO title and meta description fields, and AI can draft them for you. There's also an SEO audit in the admin that flags what's missing.
Plans & billing
No. Every new store gets a 7-day free trial with no credit card, and after that you pick a paid plan. We'd rather charge a fair price and support you properly than run a free tier we can't sustain. See Pricing.
If you haven't subscribed, your store goes inactive: the storefront stops accepting orders. You keep your admin login, and we never delete your work — products, orders, customers and theme all stay exactly as you left them. Subscribe whenever you're ready and the store reopens immediately.
Starter, Growth and Business, billed monthly or yearly (yearly is 2 months free). Prices are in INR, exclusive of GST, with no setup fee. The live figures are on the pricing page.
Scale, not capability. Orders per month, staff accounts, locations and storage go up as you go up; advanced reports and audit-log export sit on the higher plans. The storefront, checkout, GST invoicing, shipping, AI copy and the Instagram channel are on every plan.
You keep selling. We never block an order — costing you a sale would be the worst thing we could do. Orders past the limit are billed at a small per-order rate, and if you're regularly over, moving up a plan usually works out cheaper.
Any time, from Settings → Plan. Upgrades apply immediately; cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for. No cancellation fee.
We'll tell you and retry. If the balance stays unpaid, the store is suspended — you can still sign in, see exactly why, and clear it. Paying reactivates the store; your data is untouched throughout.
Account & security
Settings → Staff. Invite a staff member and give them only the permissions they need — the number of staff accounts you can have depends on your plan.
Yes, and you should. Settings → Security lets you enable 2FA with any authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, and so on).
Use the “Forgot password” link on the login page and we'll email you a reset link. Once you're in, you can change your password any time from your account page.
Yes. Nxcart is multi-tenant by design: each store's data and media are isolated and access-controlled — one merchant can never reach another's data. More detail on the Security page.
No. Card payments are processed by Razorpay, a PCI-DSS compliant gateway. Full card numbers never reach our servers.
You do. We act as a data processor on your behalf for shopper data, in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. We don't sell your data. See the Privacy Policy and the Data Processing Addendum.
